I’ve been married since 2013. Yes, my husband had his faults, but most of the people who painted him black encouraged me to leave the marriage. Some of those pieces of advice didn’t come from a place of love. Some people just wanted me out so they could replace me. I can’t say for sure, but I know a lot happened immediately after I left.
